I first became involved with photography while in college at the University of California in Berkeley. During my last years as a student there, I worked as the staff photographer for the Architecture Department in the College of Environmental Design. I have used photography extensively during my Architectural career.

In the late 70's I was introduced to SCUBA diving and immediately began photographing underwater. Not happy with the equipment available, I designed and built special equipment to photograph close up & macro  images. The images won numerous awards and were exhibited in galleries in Monterery, CA and the San Francisco Bay area.

Since relocating to the Boston South Shore in 2002, I have concentrated on "above water" photography and my images have won honors in numerous juried arts festival photographic competitions, including simultaneous first place awards in Color and Black &White Photography at the North River Arts Festival, simultaneous first place Black & White and 2nd place Color at the South Shore Arts Center Festival in Cohasset, and First Place at the Duxbury Winter Arts Fest. They have been included in exhibits at the North River Arts Center, the South Shore Arts Center and the Duxbury Art Center. I am also a Russell Gallery Artist at the Plymouth  Center for the Arts.
